Diversey Care: Company Expands Training Capabilities at PackForum Facility

Charlotte, N.C. — Nov. 10, 2015 — Sealed Air’s Diversey Care announced the expansion of its PackForum Americas Training Facility in Atlanta.

The 28,000-square-foot facility serves as a training and educational center for Building Service Contractors (BSCs), distributors, end users, employees, and new hires. The facility offers educational courses combining industry best practices and training on Diversey Care’s products, machines, and tools.

“The goal of PackForum educational programs is to show customers how to use Diversey Care products in various environments in order to decrease costs and increase revenue,” said Dan Helwig, senior training and applications manager, Diversey Care. “This training center is unique because it combines instructor-led classroom sessions, group interaction, and hands-on experience with an engaging laboratory interaction to give attendees practical experience in the proper setting.”

PackForum instructors maximize learning by conducting multiple tasks throughout the facility, such as applying floor care products to tile, cleaning carpets, or cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces. The hands-on experience along with expert instruction and class interaction allow attendees to absorb more information in less time. A boardroom is also available to allow trainees, such as BSCs and distributors, to mimic customer-facing situations and practice their sales presentations.

Diversey Care offers custom educational programs that can be tailored for an organization’s specific needs. Diversey Care can conduct training at the PackForum facility, onsite at the customer’s location, or digitally through its Learning Management System (LMS) or custom training videos.

Although PackForum originally opened in 2008, improvements to the facility now provide more space for professionals to test cleaning machines, chemicals, and tools in a controlled learning environment. Diversey Care previously conducted this training in Racine, Wis., and has used that experience to accelerate training at PackForum, leading to an enhanced participant experience. Training at PackForum also highlights new and better ways to package, handle, and present food using tools such as Cryovac food packaging systems and Cre8 package design and graphics creation.
