EnerSys and Sealed Air: Companies Team Up to Offer NexSys Batteries on TASKI Compact Auto Scrubbers

Reading, Pa. — Oct. 15, 2015 — EnerSys, the global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, has teamed up with Sealed Air Corp.'s Diversey Care division in the U.S. to offer its premium NexSys Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology batteries as the standard, factory-installed power solution in the TASKI swingo 350 B and TASKI swingo 455 B ultra-compact automatic scrubber driers.

“We value our relationship with Sealed Air and are pleased to offer its customers the convenience and reliability of our superior NexSys TPPL technology batteries installed direct from the factory,” said Chad Uplinger, general manager, specialty markets, EnerSys.

“NexSys TPPL batteries offer optimized cycling performance and rapid recharging compared to conventional lead acid batteries, making them ideal for opportunity charging applications, such as the high-traffic retail and commercial installations in which the TASKI compact auto scrubbers excel.”

Virtually maintenance-free, NexSys batteries feature high-quality Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) separators that provide high electrolyte absorption and extreme shock and vibration resistance.

The AGM design offers the stability needed for high-use applications, such as retail stores, kitchens, schools, hospitals, and more. In addition, NexSys batteries with AGM construction are classified as “non-spillable wet electric storage batteries” and may be shipped via overnight air or ground without restriction.

NexSys TPPL technology batteries offer high-energy throughput, up to three times the battery capacity per 24 hours. They also offer longer battery life, full charging in less than half the usual time.

NexSys batteries have resulted in greater than 50 percent Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) savings when compared to standard batteries over six years. (This is based on conventional AGM battery life expectancy of 300 cycles versus a NexSys battery life cycle expectancy of 1,200 cycles.)

Additional benefits include:

• Minimum gassing for use in public areas and sensitive environments

• High recyclability

• Long shelf life (up to two years at 77 degrees F)

• Easy installation
