Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association: Group's Mid-Year Conference Challenges Members to Elevate their Game
Dallas, Texas — Aug. 14, 2015 — Innovation is key to productivity, growth, and profitability. With topics ranging from the use of drones in facilities maintenance to going green, The Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association’s (PRSM) 2015 Mid-Year Conference offers PRSM members the opportunity to elevate their game.
PRSM members will learn from innovation leaders such as Robert B. Tucker and Robyn Benincasa, during the conference to be held Sept. 9–11 in Scottsdale, Ariz., at The Westin Kierland Resort.
Tucker, president, The Innovation Resource will deliver the keynote speech, “Elevate Your Game by Driving Change Through Innovation,” emphasizing how new changes taking place in the retail landscape are accomplished by making bold moves, including cutting-edge technology, revamping the store experience, developing stores of the future, leading the sustainability movement. and creating a culture of overall innovation.
Benincasa will present “Building World Class Teams: The 8 Essential Elements of Human Synergy.” This world-champion Adventure Racer, CNN Hero, and San Diego firefighter will have attendees buzzing with ways to elevate their team to the next level, both personally and professionally. Attendees will take away simple and easily applicable skills to create a successful team.
The Mid-Year Conference will also provide retailers and supplier members an excellent opportunity to network and learn about facilities maintenance trends in a relaxed setting.
There will be, in addition, more specialized educational sessions that include: using drones in facilities maintenance, going green, abbreviated versions of PRSM’s Retailer2Retailer Best Practices Forums, cross functional negotiation, establishing a Best in Class Facilities Management Department, and next-generation rooftop HVAC systems.
At this year’s conference, PRSM will launch POWERConnect, a new event that provides Retailer members the opportunity to experience professional presentations by participating supplier companies in a private setting.
Member companies presenting educational sessions include Sit n Sleep, Cornell Storefront Systems, General Nutrition Centers, Inc., Verisae, Inc., Ann, Inc., Luxottica Retail North America, Springwise Facility Management, and Knowledge Universe.
The Maintenance Marketplace exhibit hall will feature more than 200 supplier member companies with a myriad of services including Facility Management Systems, HVAC manufacturers and maintenance professionals, janitorial contractors, and landscaping companies.
