FlexPower Multi-Site Manager MSM-200 Is Entered in Security Product Showcase

Mundelin, Ill. — Feb. 3, 2015 – Entered in the 2015 Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase, the FlexPower Multi-Site Manager (MSM-200) is a smart, network-based appliance that securely and proactively manages LifeSafety Power’s power management system across any enterprise or multiple customer locations.

The web-based software and hardware solution uses a Virtual Private Network (VPN) server to securely interface with multiple NetLink communication modules and iSCAN SmartPower Systems, providing real-time health activity of power systems on the network. NetLink is the industry’s only patented network power management system.

The MSM-200 lets systems integrators and users assess, manage, and monitor even the most complex campuses with multiple sites and buildings — such as healthcare facilities and schools — from the Internet and anywhere in the world.

To deploy, a single network connection is made at the MSM Server, which then creates a VPN and automatically locates and adds LifeSafety Power network devices. While NetLink or iSCAN monitors the power system, MSM consolidates the monitoring of all devices to a single computer screen.

“The MSM-200 lets the integrator or user monitor up to 200 NetLink devices from a single IP address or location, providing greater control in managing and assessing the health of multiple power supplies,” says Joe Holland, vice president of engineering, LifeSafety Power.

“It allows the integrator to provide value-added benefits to the user by being able to simply and remotely check the current and ongoing health of all power devices. In addition, it provides a lower total cost of system ownership for the customer’s connected power supplies, with continued uptime and enhanced system reliability.”

Other features of the MSM-200 include:

• One IP address for all connected devices and a centralized dashboard displaying current status.

• Simultaneous monitoring and tracking of 200 sites (up to 800 devices) on one screen without individual login.

• A single network connection at the MSM server creates a VPN,  automatically adding any LifeSafety Power network devices.

• Secure VPN environment and simple scalability with easy self-configuration features.

• Priority listing moves sites reporting a problem to the top of the screen while preserving the operator's ability to log into any of the member sites.

• Self-contained power and the ability to charge up to a 40AH backup battery to allow continued operation during a power loss.

LifeSafety Power is a leader in Smarter Power Solutions, providing modular AC, DC, and PoE power systems that meet the growing needs of the life safety industry.

The FlexPower and NetPower product lines are high performance, network-connected, power management systems listed for access control, fire alarm, intrusion, CCTV, and mass-notification applications. For more information, visit www.LifeSafetyPower.com.
