Standard and Custom Designs and Finishes Allow Greater Creativity
in Shower Design
BROOKLYN – Watermark Designs, Brooklyn-based manufacturers and designers of bathroom fixtures and accessories for both residential and commercial environments has announced a new collection of linear drains which broadens their catalog of shower drains. Linear drains allow bath designers to pitch the surface of the shower in one direction, rather than four as in center drains.
This makes them perfect for open showers and showers built without thresholds, a benefit for ADA compliant shower designs. The linear drain can be placed at the shower entrance, against the wall, or even under a bench (with two direction pitching) to catch water runoff.
“The benefits of using linear drains are many, particularly its use and approval for ADA bathrooms – we are very pleased with the reaction we’ve been getting from the design community.” said Avi Abel, president of Watermark Designs. “Architects also like that they can choose from any one of our 40 finishes, which means that they can maintain continuity of design.”
Linear Drains
Watermark’s collection is comprised of four standard patterns available in seven lengths: 24 inches up to 48 inches. Watermark designed these drains with ‘feet’ on the inside for perfect flush fitting and ease of installation. The top piece of the drain is brass which means that it can be finished in any of Watermark Designs’ 40 finishes. Custom design capability is also possible.
