Novation Renews PDC Healthcare's Patient Identification Agreement For Wristbands And Companion Labels





Valencia, CA — PDC Healthcare, the global leader of innovative identification solutions, has announced that its Patient Identification Agreement has been renewed by  Novation, the leading healthcare supply chain expertise, analytics and contracting company for the more than 65,000 members and affiliates of VHA Inc, UHC, Children’s Hospital Association, and Provista, LLC. The new contract is effective through August 31, 2016 and encompasses all of PDC Healthcare’s patient identification wristbands and companion labels under the National Agreement and the NOVAPLUS brand.

The renewed contract provides the members served by Novation with direct access to PDC Healthcare’s complete line of patient ID products including bar code wristbands, blood wristbands, imprinter wristbands, insert wristbands, laser wristbands, NICU wristbands, shield wristbands, thermal wristbands, write-on wristbands and companion chart labels. PDC Healthcare products are used throughout every major hospital function to help organizations prevent medical errors to increase patient safety and financial performance, while maintaining compliance with important patient safety regulations. These include The Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Stage 2 Meaningful Use Requirements, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for patient identification.
