GRAFF Expands Ametis Collection's Faucet and Finish Offerings

MILWAUKEE – GRAFF®, the Milwaukee-based manufacturer of precision engineered products for the kitchen and bath, recently unveiled new additions to the award-winning Ametis Collection. Joining the collection’s line of previously released faucets is a single-lever vessel lavatory faucet, widespread lavatory faucet, wall-mounted LED lavatory faucet and bidet fixture. Additionally, the updated collection is now available in a black or white finish, with a matte texture and appearance resulting from GRAFF’s state of the art powder coating process, as well as the original polished chrome.

“One of the most unique aspects of this release is how different each variation appears from the original ‘turning-ribbon’ single-lever version,” said Al DeGenova, vice president of global sales and marketing at GRAFF. “Ametis was born out of GRAFF’s desire to push the design envelope, and now the collection has the versatility to match its design prowess.”

Released in the summer of 2012, the Ametis faucet was initially available as a single-lever lavatory faucet (LED ring optional) and a wall-mounted lavatory faucet without the LED option. Designed by Davide Oppizzi of DCUBE, the Ametis Collection was created as a symbol of the fusion between the universe above and the oceans below; a futuristic ode to high design in the bathroom. True to its design schema, the Ametis shower integrates LED chromatherapy lighting for a soothing halo effect, fusing finely-tuned engineering with leading technology. Featuring fluid and sensuous curves, the Ametis Collection provides a visual representation of the idea that life is a cycle.

"The finishing technology employed by GRAFF allows us the ability to apply high-resistance paint on surfaces such as Ametis that are subject to high stress; water in this case,” said Davide Oppizzi of DCUBE, designer of the Ametis collection. “This possibility of highly resistant coating opens new avenues for the integration of an object in its environment relative to the desired ambience,” he continued. “The new finishes illustrate beautifully the shape and curves of Ametis, while giving designers an array of options for the bath space.”
