EPCO Adds T8 RetroFit Conversion Kit Parts for Use with Linear LED Engines

Facilities managers have cost-effective option for adopting highest-efficiency LED lighting

MINNEAPOLIS —Engineered Products Company (www.engproducts.com) (EPCO), a supplier of specialty lighting and wiring consumable products for electrical contractors, today announced that it has added two new part options (14070 and 14076) for making its T8 Linear Fluorescent RetroFit Conversion Kits™ suitable for use with linear LED engines (T8 shaped LED tubes) that are classified per UL 1598C.

“These product additions extend our retrofit lighting product line to give facilities managers the option for a cost-effective move to the most energy-efficient lighting available today,” said EPCO President Jack Schuster. “However, if the changeover to LED lighting is not in the budget, our RetroFit Conversion Kits convert older four- and eight-foot T8 or T12 strip-light fixtures into energy-efficient T5 or T8 light fixtures that accommodate lamps offering 20-25,000 hours.”

Each RetroFit Conversion Kit includes Bi-Pin Lamp Sockets, RetroFit Bracket Socket Plates, and Self-Tapping Screws. The new part numbers are fitted with “non-shunted” lamp holders that are suitable for T8 shaped LED tubes.
