Long Life LED High Mount Area Light Saves 80 Percent In Energy
West Caldwell, New Jersey---Perfect for replacing high pressure sodium fixtures for indoor and outdoor lighting applications requiring wide distributions of light, MaxLite® introduces the new energy efficient DesignLights™ Consortium (DLC) approved LED High Mount Area Light, which joins the company’s award-winning MaxLED® line of innovative LED luminaires and lamps and qualify for national utility rebates of up to $175 per fixture.
Using just 30 watts, the LED High Mount Area Light replaces a 150-watt high-pressure sodium fixture for use in driveways, yards, parking lots, barns, sheds, properties, garages, utility poles and work areas, saving up to 80 percent in energy consumption throughout the fixture’s L70 50,000 hour life. The LED fixture can be mounted to walls or sealed J-boxes and delivers a substantial light output of 2090 lumens with an efficacy of 69 lumens per watt. With a high power factor of more than 93 percent for high efficiency, the LED area light operates with a Class II driver on electrical systems ranging from 120 to 277 volts. The fixture is available in a 5000K correlated color temperature (CCT) and a full cutoff classification that enables no light loss into the night sky.
MaxLite’s new luminaire is constructed of heavy duty, die-cast aluminum with a bright anodized aluminum reflector housing that is rust and corrosion proof and sealed to be free of dirt and insects. The translucent white polycarbonate lens covers the balanced LED light engine for an even light distribution. The LED engine features LM-80-rated chips with high-ranked proprietary binning that ensures color uniformity and consistency while producing an accurate color rendering index (CRI) of 86 or greater, an even light distribution and minimal glare. This universal LED is the environmentally friendly choice that provides cool operation without emitting radiation or heat.
The luminaire features a National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) twist lock, dusk-to-dawn PhotoCell that automatically activates for optimal illumination for outdoor commercial and residential environments. The fixture is 12.75 inches wide and 11.75 inches tall with the attached PhotoCell. Options include a steel arm accessory, which is a curved arm that is 1.5 inches in diameter and 19 inches long.
The LED Area Light is B1-U0-G0 (BUG) rated set forth by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), ETL-, cETL- and FCC-certified, RoHS compliant and constructed without hazardous materials. LM-79 and LM-80 data is available, along with IES files and photometrics. The fixtures are backed by MaxLite’s five-year limited warranty.
These DLC-approved LED fixtures have been added to MaxLite’s extensive database of more than 2,000 national rebates identified by SKU and outlined with their available rebate amounts in a complete state-by-state listing of more than 100 utilities and regions. This database can be accessed at http://www.maxlite.com/utility-rebate-programs.
MaxLite’s full time application engineers are available to implement proficient project lighting layouts and spacing criteria upon request.
