Kimball Office Introduces 15 New Vertical Market-Specific Fabrics

Additions Include Antimicrobial and Bleach-Cleanable Properties for Healthcare and Education

JASPER, Ind. — Two years ago, Kimball(R) Office introduced the Vision Collection, a completely new selection of surface materials. As part of that introduction, Kimball Office committed to refreshing the collection every few years. This year, the company is excited to announce the addition of 15 new fabrics tailored to meet the needs of healthcare and education settings. Many of the new textiles, from Mayer Fabrics, will be on display starting the week of June 11, in the Kimball Office showroom, located at 325 N. Wells St., Chicago.

The fabric additions increase Kimball Office’s flexibility within the growing healthcare and education markets, although the new additions are suitable for any environment. Of the 15 new fabrics, 13 are antimicrobial, seven are bleach-cleanable, seven possess both antimicrobial and bleach-cleanable properties and the four polyurethanes are polyvinyl chloride (PVC)-free. The Vision Collection now consists of 20 antimicrobial and 16 bleach-cleanable fabrics.

“By increasing the number of vertical market-specific fabrics, Kimball Office is supporting designers and organizations looking to provide end users with a clean, safe and easy to maintain environment,” said Georgy Olivieri, east regional director of architecture, design and sustainable strategies for Kimball Office. “By incorporating a variety of antimicrobial, bleach-cleanable and PVC-free fabrics into the collection, we are providing a selection that meets today’s design trends, while exceeding the needs and expectations for healthcare and education spaces.”

The Vision Collection offers solutions that work across all market segments including the open plan, private offices, training and lounge spaces, conference and meeting rooms and reception areas. The mix of timeless styles, colors, small, medium and large patterns, solid textures and stripes coordinate with and complement Kimball Office’s wide range of new wood finishes.

The new vertical market fabrics will be available to order in mid-July 2012. Most materials within the Kimball Office Vision Collection are crafted from recycled polyester or natural fibers such as cotton and wool, contribute to Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) Indoor Advantage(TM) certification for Kimball Office’s furniture, and may contribute to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED(R)) credits.
