USDA BioPreferred program Launches New Online Seminar Series

WASHINGTON – USDA BioPreferred® program manager Ron Buckhalt has announced a series of live seminars to educate public and private sector acquisition officers, procurement officials, contractors, and others responsible for determining purchasing needs and requirements for biobased products, materials, and services.

The free online seminars – via streaming video at your desktop or via satellite downlink – will be ideal for educators and students; faculty and staff interested in accelerating new markets for agricultural research; and purchasing and facility managers who want to “green” their campuses.

Seminar topics will cover the identification and selection of biobased products; tools and resources available to facilitate best practices; and strategies to remove barriers to integrate new biobased products into organizations. The live discussion format will allow for audience Q & A.

Two upcoming seminars will be held on November 1 and December 6 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST.  To register or find out more visit: http://www.energyworkshops.org/BioPreferred_Awareness_to_Action/.
