Herman Miller Healthcare Lends Helping Hand to DeVos Children's Hospital

Reflecting its corporate mission of creating a better world, Herman Miller Healthcare <http://www.hermanmiller.com/Healthcare> , a division of Herman Miller, Inc. <http://www.hermanmiller.com/> , has donated a Herman Miller procedure/supply cart to support a mobile “fun station” with a flat screen television and electronic game system for the Pediatric Oncology Floor at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital <http://www.helendevoschildrens.org/>  located in Grand Rapids, Mich. The donation was made through the Pediatric Oncology Resource Team (P.O.R.T), an organization that supports families with children being treated for cancer.

“We are always seeking opportunities to make a difference in the patient experience,” said Herman Miller Healthcare President Beth Nickels. “By donating the procedure/supply cart, we hope to provide some fun and entertainment for patients as they go through treatment. The cart not only holds the flat screen television and the game system, but also holds board games and art supplies for patients and their families to use together.”

Nickels continued, “This particular cart <http://www.hermanmiller.com/Products/CoStruc-System>  is ideal for this application because it is durable, easy to clean for infection control and features an available lock for security.”
