A new report issued by the New York City Police Department aims to aid facility executives and building owners in the city by providing information on how to mitigate the effects of a terrorist attack.

The report, Engineering Security: Protective Design for High Risk Buildings includes many recommendations and best practices that were developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the wake of the collapse of the World Trade Center.
