Spotlight: RCMA

The Roof Coatings Manufacturers Association (RCMA) is the national trade association representing the manufacturers of cold-applied coatings and repair products for use in roofing and waterproofing encompassing a variety of engineered coatings. Founded in 1982, RCMA is dedicated to the advancement of the roof coatings industry by sharing product knowledge and technology that keeps the association's members up to date with trends, regulations, and building and energy codes.

Recently, RCMA launched interactive regulation maps on volatile organic compounds (VOC) that track the rules governing architectural and industrial maintenance coatings, as well as adhesives and sealants. These maps are available to current members and via a subscription license for non-members.

RCMA also has partnered with the Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE) to create a database of rebates and tax credits for installing reflective roofs. The customized search tool can help members find up-to-date listings of reflective roofing financial incentives in the United States.
