RECALL: Automatic Transfer Switch Can Overheat

About 6,600 Kohler 100-amp service entrance rated automatic transfer switches have been recalled by the company. The transfer switch can fail and overheat, posing a fire hazard. No incidents or injuries have been reported to the company due to the transfer switch failure, according to U.S. Consumer Product Safety commission recall 18-165.

The affected transfer switch model is number RXT-JFNC 100ASE, which is printed on a nameplate located on the inside cover of the unit. The units were sold between February 2012 and January 2018.
