Grid Modernization Program Expands

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has expanded its Grid Modernization Initiative, an ongoing effort to improving the resiliency, reliability, and security of the nation’s electricity delivery system. The Grid Modernization Initiative aims to solve the challenges of integrating conventional and renewable sources with energy storage and smart buildings, while ensuring that the grid is resilient and secure enough to withstand growing cybersecurity and climate challenges.
