The Chicago White Sox has installed 11 dispensers with free period products throughout Guaranteed Rate Field, becoming one of the first Major Leage Baseball teams to do so. The initiative will replace older period product dispensers that were difficult to maintain or service. The Aunt Flow dispensers cost between $350 and $400 per unit.
According to a press release, dispensers will be located both inside and outside of restrooms and stock levels will be checked regularly. The White Sox will pay for technicians to come in at least once a month for refills. They also have additional visits scheduled depending on volume, product usage and the number of games in a given month.
The White Sox could potentially add more dispensers next season depending on the feedback from guests and staff this year.
