DOE Program Expands by Adding Water-Savings Goals

The U.S. Department of Energy is expanding its Better Buildings Challenge program to include water-savings goals. Better Buildings Challenge partners have cut energy waste by 94 trillion BTUs since 2011 for a total of $840 million dollars in energy costs and 6 million tons of avoided harmful carbon emissions, equivalent to cutting the emissions of 1 million cars.
