Moose occasionally wander into hospitals. Birds regularly fly into buildings. Insects make their way into facilities of all kinds. While building occupants understand that these incidents can occur, guests at one Wisconsin hotel had a run-in with animals that took an especially ominous turn.
Hotel guests at the Country Inn and Suites by Radisson in Germantown, Wisconsin, were stunned to discover snakes inside recently, according to WISN. Michelle Griese said she and her son booked a room on the first floor of the hotel. When they were getting ready to go swim, she discovered snakes in the pool and hot tub area. She said after leaving the pool, she also saw a snake in the hall.
The Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department sent an inspector, according to a report. While the inspector was at the hotel testing the pool and the hot tub, they discovered a snakeskin and told the manager to contract a professional pest control company.
A hotel general manager reportedly confirmed to the inspector that they were dealing with snakes over the weekend. The report said one staff member hypothesized hotel guests were leaving the exterior fire exits open and thought a pregnant snake might have slithered inside.
