  October 6, 2016

Milwaukee World Festival Inc. has announced a renovation plan for Summerfest’s Miller Lite Oasis stage area, which will include a redesigned stage and shopping area. The Oasis was last renovated in 2006.

The new project envisions a redesigned Oasis stage facade and renovated stage area that will offer improved sight lines by eliminating visual obstructions. There will also be video screen upgrades.

A new side stage bar, the Miller Lite Brew House, will have a covered space and "enhanced opportunities for front row access through MillerCoors promotions," the statement says. There will also be an expanded Hospitality Deck and a new elevated viewing deck.

Also planned is a Summerfest Store, which will be in an air-conditioned building and will include a large storefront. Milwaukee World Festival said it will pay for the redesigned marketplace and Summerfest Store.
