Facility Maintenance Decisions magazine has selected the eight recipients of the 2016 Facility Maintenance Decisions Achievement Awards.

The award program recognizes the essential role maintenance and engineering departments play in the safe, sustainable and efficient operation of the nation’s institutional and commercial facilities. The following maintenance and engineering departments were honored:

Retrofits and Renovations
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle
University of LaVerne, Calif.

Sustainability
Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience, Jupiter, Fla.
Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, Tenn.

Financial Management
Kettering (Ohio) School District
Westerville (Ohio) School District

Personnel Management
Johnson and Wales University, Providence, R.I.
Orange County, Fla.

All of the 2016 honorees are first-time FMDAA recipients. They were selected from a group of 40 entries from around the country as determined by online voting, a panel of judges and the magazine’s editors. The winning projects, a complete list of entries and a listing of past winners is available at www.facilitiesnet.com/fmdaa.

Facility Maintenance Decisions will honor the recipients at the NFMT Vegas Conference & Expo on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 9 a.m. during a session recognizing the honorees, “Achieving Excellence in Maintenance Operations,” at the Mirage Events Center.
