Recognize Your Team During National Engineers Week

Event designed to shine spotlight on the profession and encourage students to consider engineering as a career   February 23, 2024

By By Dave Lubach, Executive Editor

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and DiscoverE are teaming up to shine a spotlight on engineering with its annual National Engineers Week, Feb. 18-24.

The week is designed to celebrate engineers and their contributions to the world while raising awareness about the public need for engineers and bringing attention to the profession as an option for kids, educators and parents.

This year’s theme is “Welcome to the Future.” DiscoverE, the primary organization supporting the week, comprises logos, guides, graphics and engineering-themed activities targeted at students to consider the engineering profession as a career.

Engineering managers have long been a core part of the readership on facilitiesnet.com and Facility Maintenance Decisions magazine, and our publications have tried to spotlight many of the best in the profession over the years, including perhaps the most famous of engineering managers, famed author William Faulkner!

Engineering managers interested in finding ways to get students involved in the profession can visit the DiscoverE site for more information.

Meanwhile, check out some of our engineer-generated content over the years:
