New Standard Aims To Streamline Asset Management

A new standard aims to help maintenance and engineering managers identify and classify building systems, components, sub-components, and associated attributes to make better decisions about managing their assets. The new standard, E3035, Classification for Facility Asset Component Tracking System (FACTS), was developed by ASTM International and will affect smart buildings, facility asset management processes, and building information modeling (BIM).
