Raymond A. "Ray" Hanna served as the Dept. of Homeland Security, Protective Security Advisor (PSA) for the Baltimore, Maryland District from 2005 - 2020. In December 2020, he transferred with the DHS/Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to become the PSA for the Raleigh, North Carolina District. Mr. Hanna supports homeland security efforts, serving in an advising and reach-back capacity to state Homeland Security Advisors. He contributes to the development of the national risk picture by assisting with the identification, assessment, monitoring, and minimizing of risk to critical assets at the local level. As a PSA, Mr. Hanna facilitates, coordinates, and performs vulnerability assessments for local critical infrastructure and assets, acts as a physical and technical security advisor to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, and provides terrorism/criminal awareness training to both the public and private sectors. Mr. Hanna has over 22 years of prior experience as a Criminal Investigator with the U.S. Secret Service (USSS), which he retired from in 2005. Mr. Hanna has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland.
