Best Lighting Products is recalling its line of LED High Bay Light Fixtures due to a specific defect that can cause a fire hazard. The plastic pins securing the LED board can prematurely degrade, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall notice. This could allow the electrified LED board to make contact with product’s lens or other combustible materials, posing a fire hazard.
Facility managers who have these products installed should immediately inspect their fixtures for any sign that the pins might be degrading. If unsure, facility managers can contact the manufacturer at its recall website for more information on what to do about the recalled products.
There have been three reports of fires caused by this defect. No injuries have been reported.
The products were purchased exclusively from Best Lighting Products distributors between May 2017 and May 2024.
