The power adapters, manufactured by Meic, for Brother AirSure DF-2 Dynamic Filtration Tabletop Air Purifiers are being recalled due to shock hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall alert, the casing on the power adapters can break while it’s being plugged in or removed from a power outlet, exposing metal prongs, and posing a hazard of electrical shock or electrocution.
The power adapters came with air purifiers sold between March 3 and September 1, 2022. Facility managers should immediately stop using the power adapters and contact Brother for a free replacement.
There has been one reported incident of the power adapters breaking, but no injuries have been reported.
