Incorrectly worded, confusing operating instruction can cause users to press the start button too quickly on a line of Enerco DEWALT outdoor propane heaters. This can result in the fan not starting properly, causing the unit to overheat. Enerco is recalling the outdoor propane heaters because of this fire and burn hazard, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall notice.
The recalled units, commonly used on construction sites, were purchased at Lowe’s stores between May 2024 and January 2025. The recall affects approximately 21,250 units.
Facility managers should stop using the recalled heaters and contact Enerco for updated instructions and a free warning sticker
There have been 11 reports of the unit of overheating thus far, but no reports of injuries.
