Manufacturer Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing is recalling Amana, Daikin, Goodman-branded commercial air conditioner and heat pump units due to a manufacturing error that can cause a fire hazard.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall notice, the unit’s serial plate can list the wrong electrical ratings. This can lead to incorrect wiring, which may pose a fire hazard.
Facility managers who have purchased these units should immediately contact the manufacturer for a free inspection and repair. The units were sold at independent heating and cooling dealers from January 2024 through March 2024.
There have been no reports of fire incidents so far.
