Basic rooftop maintenance is an essential part of a facility manager’s job. Without this practice, things could easily go awry, potentially costing the building thousands of dollars. However, testing the rooftop units on a regular basis allows for cost-saving opportunities and helps ensure that the building is running properly. In this video, Dave Herman of Slipstream demonstrates how to test the amp draws on the compressor, condenser fan and blower motor while the rooftop unit is running and what the results mean.
