ASHRAE database.
The database contains more than 300 building types and more than 38,000 pieces of equipment with service life data. It allows users to access up-to-date information to determine a range of statistical values for equipment owning and operating costs necessary in life-cycle analysis techniques.
Users can contribute their own service life and maintenance cost data, further expanding the utility of this tool. Data can be entered by logging into the database and registering, which is free.
Information from the database is also used to update the ASHRAE Handbook Owning and Operating Costs chapter.
