ARMSTRONG Designed for exposed structure spaces, Optima Capz ceiling panels have both a noise reduction coefficient and a light reflectance value of 0.90. Installing the panels over 20 percent of an area can reduce reverberation noise by 50 percent, according to the manufacturer. They feature 70 to 75 percent recycled content and are recyclable. Available in multiple sizes.

DYNASOUND The DS1390 low profile sound masker is designed for access floors as shallow as 13⁄4 inches. The dual-driver design provides balanced 360-degree dispersion with no hot spots above or below the unit, according to the manufacturer. Can be used in suspended ceilings with a hanger accessory. No ceiling or floor penetrations.

CERTAINTEED The Adagio ceiling panel’s fully encapsulated fiberglass layer has a noise reduction coefficient of 0.95 and the mineral backboard has a ceiling attenuation class rating of 38 to 40. The panels have a recycled content of 38 to 59 percent. A cut-away on the backboard is designed for easy placement in the company’s compatible suspension systems.

CHICAGO METALLIC The MetalWood series has five wood grain finishes that are embossed onto traditional metal ceiling systems, including Planostile metal panel ceiling systems, Planar linear ceiling panels and CurvGrid curving ceiling systems. The finishes are available on solid panels or perforated panels for applications that require airflow and acoustical performance. The panels are recyclable.

PROUDFOOT Acoustical wall panels by Noisemaster address reverberant noise problems with a noise reduction coefficient of at least 0.50 at 1/2-inch thickness and 1.05 at two inches. Available in four standard thicknesses, panels have a 6- to 7-pound PCF rigid fiberglass absorber core. Maximum panel size is 5-by-10-feet.

HUNTER DOUGLAS Techstyle self-aligning acoustical ceiling panels create the appearance of drywall with a sound absorption average rating of 0.89 and a noise reduction coefficient of 0.85. A honeycomb structure provides absorption across the entire frequency spectrum, according to the manufacturer. Mounts on a 15/16-inch T-grid. An integrated clip/hinge system allows panels to swing down while remaining secure. Contains no VOCs.

SOUND MANAGEMENT GROUP SoundElite is an acoustically rated vertical blind that absorbs 80 percent of speech frequencies when closed and 35 percent when open, according to the manufacturer. Compatible with all major vertical blind track systems. Individual fabric slats with a PVC edge are 35⁄8-inches wide and up to 12-feet long. Available in six colors.

PINTA ACOUSTICS Bioline solid-finish ceiling tiles are made from a wood veneer with a 70 percent by weight recycled content. The tiles are available in cherry, beech, maple and bamboo, perforated or unperforated. The organic-texture tiles are 80 percent recycled content. The tiles have a noise reduction coefficient of 0.55 to 0.80.

LENCORE ACOUSTICS CORP. The Music Page Interface can be connected to the company’s Spectra i.Net sound-masking system, providing the ability to program up to 99 individual zones for paging through a single line telephone wire. Programming can be set up for up to 1.5 million square feet of space through one device.

CAMBRIDGE SOUND MANAGEMENT Incorporating sound masking, paging and music, the Qt PRO system is controllable via a front panel interface or networked software on a user’s desktop. Miniature ceiling-mounted emitters project sound directly into the area of coverage. A single unit covers up to 150,000 square feet of workspace over five zones.

USG Frost acoustical ceiling panels are fine-textured panels with a noise reduction coefficient of 0.70 and ceiling attenuation class rating up to 40. The cast process integrates color all the way through the panel. Panels are nearly two times more impact resistant than typical fine textured ceiling panels, according to the manufacturer.

TECTUM Cloud panels are designed for areas where a grid is not practical. Designed for a floating system with no visible suspension, clouds can be fabricated into custom shapes. Available in 1-1/2 inch or 2 inch thicknesses, the panels have a noise reduction coefficient of 0.50 or 0.60 respectively. Can be field painted without losing acoustical efficiency.

LOGISON The LogiSon Acoustic Network manager software has an integrated AutoCAD feature that allows users to design the network’s layout in .DWG format and use this visual interface to pinpoint and control the output and zoning of individual speakers without referring to a printed document. The system combines sound masking, paging and music.

SILENT SOURCE Acoustical Sound Barrier is a high-density 1- or 2-pound-per-square-foot vinyl sheet used in walls, ceilings and floors to reduce sound transmission. Sound transmission class ratings of 27 and 33 respectively. Sheets are 1/8-inch thick and are available either reinforced or non-reinforced. Available in rolls 54 inches wide by 10, 20 or 60 feet long.

FRY REGLET The company’s acoustical metal wall panels have a noise reduction coefficient of 0.90. Two inches of 1.5-pound fiberglass is inserted behind a perforated metal sheet. Panels are up to 48 inches wide and 144 inches long. Available in six profiles and a variety of colors.
