DOE Proposal Would Raise Boiler Efficiency

The energy efficiency requirements for commercial boilers sold in the United States would increase under a recent notice of proposed rulemaking filed by the U.S. Department of Energy. The proposed standards would go into effect three years after the rule is finalized. They would increase minimum efficiency levels to 81-88 percent, depending on the boiler’s type and fuel requirements. Click here for more information.
