Toronto Hospital an All-Digital Healthcare Facility

Inside Humber River Hospital in northwest Toronto, North America's first all-digital hospital, robots sorts medication, automated vehicles deliver lunch trays and machines deliver  blood samples vis  pneumatic tubes, according to an article on the Modern Healthcare website.

In addition, patients and staff wear real-time locating devices, eliminating the need for overhead paging systemsand allowing families to keep track of loved ones. 

Humber River was designed to be a seamless, paperless, connected experience for patients, staff and clinicians.

The movement toward full-scale digitization is being encouraged by the promise of better financial performance.
