The new Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego Education Office Building celebrated its topping off recently. The 96,000-square-foot building located in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego and will house Rady Children’s Hospital doctors and executives and also provide meeting and educational spaces.
The building will feature state-of-the-industry audio and video capabilities while supporting preliminary telemedicine operations.
In addition to the Education Office Building, McCarthy Building Company is also overseeing extensive offsite underground utility work for both Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego and neighboring Sharp Healthcare as part of this project.
Designed by Stantec Architects to achieve the level of occupant health and environmental sustainability required to earn LEED-certified status, the project is scheduled for completion in late 2016. The hospital will remain open and fully functional throughout the construction process.
