Henry Ford Health Plans $110 Million Cancer Center
October 8, 2015
Henry Ford Health System plans to build a $110 million cancer center as part of a larger expansion and neighborhood improvement program in Detroit.
The 144,000-square-foot cancer center will include a rooftop garden and skywalk to connect it to Henry Ford Hospital. Ambulatory cancer treatment and support services across multiple sites will be consolidated under one roof, with improved comfort and convenience for patients, families, and seniors.
The new facility will anchor Henry Ford Hospital’s South Campus expansion project, which also includes a 10-15 year vision to incorporate green space, commercial, retail, and housing development in the area.
