Brentwood Health Care Center in Sagamore Hills, Ohio, has broken ground on a $9 million, 61,000-square-foot addition that will expand the facility's options in caring for elderly residents.
The current facility is a 100-bed skilled nursing facility. Work on an expanded parking lot for the new facility began last week, and construction of the addition is set to begin this month. Completion should take about 12 months.
The addition is partly in response to a need for couples to remain together.
One wing and all of the common areas were renovated a couple years ago -- with a 13,000-square-foot addition completed in 2011, with common-area renovation in 2013.
