Healthcare facilities are looking at new ways to reduce noise, according to an article on the Science Daily website.

According to the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, noise is the top complaint of patients, staff and visitors.

Hospitals have been implementing both engineering and administrative noise control programs.

Engineering interventions look for ways to quiet the room. Administrative interventions focus on changing behaviors.
