Texas' Neighbors Health System changed the traditional layout and operations of the emergency department to reduce the time patients wait to see a doctor, according to a post on the Healthcare Facilities Today website.
Neighbors decided the best way to do that was to put the doctor next to the front door, according to an article on the Healthcare Design website.
