Manufacturer DR Power Equipment is recalling its line of tow behind field and brush mowers due to 10 reports of a defect that can cause a laceration and severe injury hazard. No injuries have been reported, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall notice

The issue with the tow behind mower stems from a spindle bolt that attaches the blade carrier that can come loose. When the bolt comes loose, the blade assembly can detach during operation and pose a laceration hazard.

Facility managers who purchased the tow behind mowers should stop using them immediately and contact DR Power Equipment for a free repair. The recalled tow behind mowers were purchased at independent power equipment stores and online from DR Power between April and October 2024.
