Recalled Zero-Turn Mowers Pose Fire Hazard

About 5,400 zero-turn lawn mowers have been recalled because a wire tie underneath the seat can damage the fuel line, posing a risk of fire. No incidents or injuries have been reported to the manufacturer, Excel Industries, according to U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall number 19-748.

The mowers were sold under a variety of brand names at BigDog or Hustler dealers between June 2018 and March 2019. The recalled models include Hustler FasTrak, Hustler FasTrak SDX, BigDog Stout, and BigDog Stout MP. The recalled mowers have serial numbers between 18058001 and 19028225. See the recall notice for a full list of recalled model numbers.

Facility managers affected by this recall are directed to stop using the mowers contact a BigDog or Hustler dealer for a free repair. The manufacturer, Excel Industries, can be reached at 844-594-2448.
