  February 28, 2018

By Naomi Millán

John Deere model 2025R compact utility tractors have been recalled because the brakes can fail, posing a crash and injury hazard. No incidents have yet been reported due to the malfunction, according to U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall 18-718.

Just over 600 tractors with serial numbers in the range 1LV2025R×HJ100101 – 101005 have been recalled. The serial number is located on the right side of the frame by the front right tire.  All but six were sold in the United States between July and October 2017.

Facility managers affected by the recall are directed to stop using the tractors and contact a John Deere dealer for a free repair. Deere & Company can also be reached at 800-537-8233.
