Creature Comfort Shines at GIE Expo

From October 18 to 20, all of the latest grounds care equipment and technology was on display at the 2017 Green Industry & Equipment Expo in Louisville, Ky. Advances in user comfort stood above the rest.

Exhibitors and manufacturers from from Makita, Kohler, Jacobsen, John Deere, PGMS and the Propane Education & Research Council showcased their products, services and equipment. Among the products and services featured by exhibitors, all focused on making equipment more comfortable for the operator in order to increase productivity. This included features on riding mowers, stand behind mowers and utility vehicles such as bigger and wider seats, adjustable seat suspension and lumbar support, ergonomic handle designs, ease of use, easy access to engines, more leg room in utility vehicles, and foot pedals being further apart to accommodate for work boots.

In total the 2017 GIE expo featured more than 815 exhibitors and a 20-acre demo area.

The 2018 GIE Expo will take place October 17-19, 2018 in Louisville, Ky, at the Kentucky Expo Center.
