Doosan Bobcat North America is recalling a line of Bobcat- and Kubota-branded stand-on zero turn lawnmowers due to a laceration injury and crash hazard caused by a specific defect.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall notice, the dampers installed on the steering system of the mower can prevent the control levers from returning to the neutral position and the Operator Presence switch will not activate and stop the engine and blades, posing crash and laceration hazards to the operator or bystanders.
The lawnmowers were sold at Bobcat and Kubota dealers between March and August 2023. Facility managers who have purchased the lawnmowers – the complete list of model numbers is also available on CPSC’s recall notice – should immediately stop using the machines and contact Doosan Bobcat North America for a free inspection and repair.
So far, there have been no injuries reported.
