DR Power Equipment’s line of walk-behind leaf blowers and leaf vacuums and tow-behind leaf vacuums are being recalled due to an operational malfunction that can cause severe injury. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall notice, parts can come loose inside of the machine, and be ejected, posing a serious injury hazard.

The recall affects about 57,200 units purchased between September 2014 and January 2024 at independent power equipment stores in the US and Canada.

Facility managers should immediately stop using the machines and contact the manufacturer for a free repair.
