Club Car has recalled over 10,000 vehicles due to two different fuel system malfunctions, which pose a fire hazard. The company has received five reports of fuel leaks, but no reports of fire or injury, according to U.S. Consumer Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notices 19-770 and 19-769.
In one recall, about 1,300 Club Car Gas Carryall 300, Transporter, Villager Vehicles, Streetrod Lux, and Streetrod Vintage Vehicles in model year 2019 have a faulty fuel vent, which can let fuel leak when the vehicle is under continuous operations with low speed idling periods and a full gas tank. The affected vehicles were sold between July 2018 through March 2019.
In the other recall, about 9,000 Club Car Precedent, Tempo, Onward and Villager model gas golf and transport vehicles in the 2019 model year have an improperly-routed fuel line. These vehicles were sold between August 2018 and July 2019.
See the recall notices for a full list of affected serial numbers. On the vehicles, the serial number can be found above and to the right of the accelerator pedal.
In both cases, facility managers with the recalled vehicles in their fleet are directed to stop using them immediately and contact Club Car for a free repair. Club Car can be reached at 888-227-7925 or at their website.
