About 11,670 Kubota Zero Turn Mowers have been recalled because the rollover protection structure can loosen and fail to operate properly. This poses an injury hazard to mower operators during a rollover accident. No injuries or incidents have been reported to Kubota at the time of the recall, according to U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall 19-723.
The recall affects the 2017 and 2018 Kubota Z400 and Z700 series diesel-powered zero turn mowers. The recall notice includes a list of serial numbers. The mowers were sold between November 2017 and September 2018 in orange and black and have “Kubota” imprinted on the front and side.
A separate recall a month ago on Kubota zero-turn mowers involved the threat of hot coolant spraying out and injuring riders.
Facility managers with these mowers in their fleets are asked to stop using the mowers and contact Kubota for a free inspection and repair. Managers can reach the company at (888) 458-2682 or www.kubotausa.com.
