The U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration is offering employers information designed to keep outdoor workers cool in the summer heat. Among the steps managers can take are gradually increasing shift lengths so workers can adapt to hot environments, providing frequent water breaks, allowing ample time to rest, and providing shade.
