LEED v4.1 is a streamlined, performance-driven update to the LEED rating system from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The Building Operations and Maintenance version of the rating system, released earlier this year, integrates the Arc platform – a data-management system and dashboard that allows facility managers to easily track and analyze how well their buildings’ ongoing performance.
A session at the upcoming NFMT Vegas will focus on what’s new in the LEED v4.1 rating system. The goal for the session is to show the way the rating system takes a more data-driven approach with this latest iteration. NFMT Vegas is free and takes place Nov. 6-7 at the Rio Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.
Presented by Patti Mason, the regional director for USGBC, Mountain region, the session will cover the way the Arc platform powers LEED Building Operations and Maintenance certification and the way it is helping to revolutionize building operations and sustainability benchmarking with a performance path towards the world’s most recognized green building certification system. The session also will examine recent indoor air research and help attendees understand the way indoor air testing can identify issues and mitigate tenant concerns around indoor air quality.
A recent article in Building Operating Management magazine discusses many of the changes in LEED v4.1, including its new performance score requirements in all five of its categories, including energy and water.
