U.S. Green Building Council Expands LEED Online Certification Program

All registered Core and Shell version 2.0 projects may now access the Beta version of the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy Design (LEED) program online to begin documentation for certification.

All registered Core and Shell version 2.0 projects may now access the Beta version of the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy Design (LEED) program online to begin documentation for certification.

As a Beta version, projects should take precautions should there be an unexpected error during use, according to the USGBC. USGBC recommends saving individual templates as a backup.

USGBC says it will continue to refine the LEED Online for Core and Shell v2.0 Beta product and ask all project teams to work with USGBC to identify and correct any issues found during documentation. To report difficulties, projects should submit all concerns to linfo@usgbc.org with a subject line detailing the error, says the USGBC. Including the page on which the error occurs will expedite the correction of any errors found in the product.

LEED Online for Core and Shell v2.0 Beta is available for 2.0 projects only. If a pilot project would like to switch to version 2.0, contact LEED customer service, says the USGBC. Additionally, LEED Online is only for project certification, and does not include templates for precertification.
