The Importance Of Healthy Workspaces

As facilities consolidate their office space, research efforts aim to create smaller, safer and more sustainable workplaces for current and future staff

man speaking at conference

A small community of engineering and medical researchers are conducting health in buildings research. The presenters began examining available NASA data to corroborate research findings with internal evidence. They expanded the effort to include their health, human capital and safety colleagues, and other Federal agencies too. Federal agencies are consolidating their offices space. This sustainable building effort aims for science based smaller and better work spaces for the current and future workforce. The work is based upon technology transfer from research to practice, collaboration among multiple disciplines, commitment to healthy, sustainable workplaces, and data analyses.
